This summer, the BOYNE Golf Academy adds another revolutionary training aid to their arsenal with the GEARS Club and Body Tracking System. Much like TrackMan did when it first arrived on the scene, GEARS takes golf training to a whole new level with a focus on the movement of your body and its effect on your swing and the ball’s flightpath.
Data is recorded through a series of 26 sensors strategically placed at key spots on the body, and six more sensors on the club, along with eight high-speed cameras running at 360 frames per second. Dubbed an ‘MRI for your golf game’ by Michael Neff, the director of GEARS Golf, the information and feedback provided is so detailed that you’ll be able to see which groove on the club makes contact with the ball, how much the club’s shaft flexes, and even how fast the clubface is rotating at impact.
GEARS provides the following data about your swing:
As well as the following about what your body is doing:

TrackMan is the choice for swing and ball flight analysis by golf’s leading authorities: the PGA TOUR and The R&A as well as touring professionals, equipment manufacturers, coaches, retailers, club fitters, and broadcast media.
At the Golf Academy, Kevin and our trained club fitters use the TrackMan system. This system can be used indoors or outside. It is the industry’s most accurate source for measuring the golf swing and tracing the entire flight of the ball from impact to landing while displaying its 3D trajectory in real time. The first of its kind to measure the complete path of any shot, from 6 foot pitches to 400 yard drives, the TrackMan pinpoints the landing position of the ball with an accuracy of 1 foot at 100 yards. All clubface, swing, and ball flight data is displayed and delivered in a quick easy-to-read manner.
Track Man monitors allow our trained fitting professionals to provide you with data about every aspect of your golf swing. From club speed, attack angle, swing plane and club path to face angle, ball speed, spin rate, smash factor and launch angle, we will provide you with everything you need to know to customize the perfect configuration of clubs.

PGA Junior League Golf (PGA JLG) is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls, ages 13 and under, to learn and enjoy the game of golf from PGA and LPGA Professionals. Like many other recreational youth sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with friends. PGA JLG features team vs. team competitions in structured leagues that provide a popular, less stressful scramble format as opposed to stroke-play competition.
Team Captains have the discretion to allow skilled younger players to play up on the team (the recommended age range is 9-13 though some 7 and 8 year olds play up if able). A player cannot be 14 years of age prior to August 1, 2016.

This class is not taught as a group as each student has different needs. It is recommended that you have a private lesson before attending a skill building.
